I have been tutoring students for the past 10 years. Both of my parents were also teachers, so education seems to be in my blood. My background is in math and science as I am a Mechanical Engineer in the Aerospace field. I enjoy working with students in helping them to easily understand difficult ideas and concepts. My desire is to help each student develop or expand skills in the subject at hand as well as understand how the subject applies within his or her own life and in the real world. I use my real-life professional examples to help students in tutoring sessions as well. I also work to intertwine any math or science discussions and problems with the student's hobbies and interests. This helps to make any problem more understandable to them. My area of expertise includes math, science, English, essay writing, and test prep. I've helped students who have struggled as well as those who excel and want to go further into understanding these subjects. I have worked with students from various cultures and religions. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, photography, traveling, programming micro-controllers, and playing basketball, tennis, and table tennis.
